Presley Signs Endorsement Deal With Hometown Companies
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 18, 2009)--Chris Presley, the wild and wily lead guitarist and background vocalist of the rockin’ country trio River County (SVC Entertainment), has signed an exclusive endorsement agreement with Morgan Monroe Guitars and ModTone Pedals, local companies situated in the band’s very own backyard—Indianapolis. Presley was presented with a Morgan Monroe Creekside MV-EC-45 acoustic guitar and a variety of performance-enhancing effect pedals for his electric guitar.
"We are proud to welcome Chris Presley and River County into the Morgan Monroe and ModTone families," said Kevin Patenaude, Artist Relations Manager. “In that our company is based in the group’s hometown, we’ve come to know the band on a personal basis. Their energy and engaging personalities compliment our company’s image and Chris’ natural talents and charisma will highlight the craftsmanship and unique sound of our Creekside model.”
The Creekside models feature an exceptional open-grained top that is manufactured with a classic, hand-applied finishing technique, which allows the wood’s natural tone to breathe. Combined with top-to-bottom figured maple binding and a genuine Grover “Sta-Tite” vintage style open-geared tuner, these guitars are poised to become instant classics.
"Morgan Monroe makes one of the best-sounding guitars you'll ever hear,” said Presley. “The Creekside series is one of the most well-made acoustic guitars on the market and I am proud play it on stage every night.”
Presley also stocked his effect arsenal with ModTone boutique-style pedals, which are designed to alter the timbre of the input signal by adding effects (such as distortion, fuzz, overdrive, chorus, reverberation, wah-wah or pitch shifting).
“The ModTone pedals are simply amazing,” Presley stated. “The effect pedal amplifies the signal without changing it harmonically and that makes for a great live sound.”
Presley joins other accomplished Morgan Monroe artists and guitar players including: Bruce Kulick (KISS, Meat Loaf, Michael Bolton, Grand Funk Railroad), Heartland and Moe Bandy.
River County is currently gearing up to actively participate in the 2009 CMA Music Festival as well as to film the music video for their honky-tonk anthem (and current radio single) “We’re All Here.”
The hard-working trio performs nearly 100 shows each year and has opened for acts such as Andy Griggs, Rascal Flatts, Jack Ingram and Lorrie Morgan. They have also performed at the Indy 500, the NASCAR Brickyard 400 and, in 2008, River County completed a five-city tour in Mainland, China.
